What to Expect

What do I do?

Checking out a church for the first time can be an intimidating adventure.  Where do I go?  Where do I sit?  Where do I take my kids?  These are just some of the questions that freak us out.  Here at Bridgeway we try to make things as easy as possible.  From the moment you drive on our campus you will be met with smiling faces and helpful volunteers.  Walking through the front door you will immediately find our BridgeKIDS registration table to the right, a full-service coffee bar straight ahead, and to those a bit more eager to avoid detection the auditorium to the immediate left.  Our worship experiences have been shaped with you in mind, which means we try to explain everything and avoid making assumptions.  Bridgeway is a no pressure zone.  If you are new and just "checking things out" that is fine, take it at your pace!  To check us out before you check us out, head to our LIVESTREAM ARCHIVE.

What will I experience?

Bridgeway is a very non-traditional setting.  The music is rockin and loud!  The preaching is relevant for your day to day life.  The attire is very casual and comfortable.  The atmosphere is warm, authentic, and very accepting.  Bridgeway is the kind of place where you can bring a friend regardless of where they are in life.

We keep it SIMPLE!

At Bridgeway we don't do a lot, but what we do is very important.

  • We Worship:  Our Weekend Worship Experiences are often the initial starting point for most of those that call Bridgway home.  We currently have 3 services, Saturday Night at 5:30pm and Sunday Morning at 9:00am and 11:00am.  All services are identical.
  • We Connect:  Connect Groups are the backbone of Bridgeway.  These are groups that meet in homes and at the Pekin Campus throughout the week to help you find a place to connect with new friends.
  • We Reach Out:  Glo-cal Ministry Outreach is essential for Bridgway.  Currently we are working with Wilson Intermediate School and the Pekin Outreach Initiative in a backpack feeding program.  We also work hard to cross ministry bridges world wide through support of missions and through crisis intervention.
  • We Love on Kids and Youth:  Your Kids Matter!  Bridgeways main arena for ministry to children happens during our Worship Experiences.  We use 252 Basics Curriculum and tailor lessons for age specific ministry.  Your teens will have a place to connect on Wednesday Nights at the Pekin Campus.
  • We Develop Volunteers and Leaders:  Bridgeway works to equip people to live out their purposes with God.  We encourage involvement in ministry and have developed an apprentice program to assist with development.  One Saturday a month we gather as Volunteers and Leaders for a time of vision, training, and coordination.
